Sheffield is having a city wide clean-up day on November 2, 2013. Volunteers are needed. If you are interested please meet at 8:00 AM at the Sheffield Municipal Building, 600 North Montgomery Avenue, for instructions and supplies. We will work from 8:00 AM until Noon. Everyone is welcome!
The Sheffield Brownfields Kick-Off scheduled for tomorrowhas been postponed. Even if the government shut-down ends today, Ms. Perry will likely not be able to attend. Thus, when the shut-down ends we will work out a new date for the event in line with her calendar. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will plan to attend the event when it is rescheduled. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

The annual 4th of July Walking Parade is approaching. The parade will begin at 10:00 AM in front of the Sheffield Public Library on N. Montgomery Avenue. Participants will walk from the library to the Veterans Memorial for the singing of the National Anthem. The parade will continue north on Montgomery Avenue to Gordon Park for Watermelon and Lemonade. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic colors.
